Ashley Cadwallader, a 15 year shipbuilder, is a Project Scheduling Manager at Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS), a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries in Newport News, VA. Ashley holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Project Management Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Computer Information Management Systems from Longwood University.
As the PMIHR’s Registered Company Coordinator (RCC) role since 2016, Ashley created and chairs the Project Management Shipbuilder’s Association (PMSA) at NNS. PMSA’s mission is to introduce and maintain a companywide approach to project and program management by developing people and enhancing their project management skills in accordance with PMI Standards. PMSA hosts meetings throughout the year to provide professional development units, networking and collaborative experiences, and provides valuable recommendations and how to’s to obtain the PMP certification.
Ashley lives in Williamsburg, VA with her husband, Wayne, and two sons, Ethan and Mason.
